Autumn is here! It's time for Pumpkin Spice and everything nice! The change from hot, balmy Summer into cold, windy Autumn can leave your skin looking and feeling dull. Homemade Skin masks are a wonderful way to revive, refresh and brighten up a lacklustre appearance. In the spirit of Halloween, here's one way to make the most of your Jack-o' Lantern..make a DIY Pumpkin Mask! Pumpkin is very high in vitamins A,B,C and E and other antioxidants that help improve Sun damage, Sun spots and wrinkles. The Zinc in Pumpkin can also help stimulate collagen production and skin cell turnover. The vitamin B boost circulation and skin cell renewal, for a beautiful, glowing complexion. Here's how!
You'll need:
1/4 cup of cooked organic pumpkin Pureé (or store bought Organic Pumpkin puree)
1 organic egg **ALT- (For Vegans Skip it and just add a bit more pumpkin for consistency)
1 tsp Manuka Honey ( or good quality honey)
*for oily skin: add a teaspoon of raw apple cider vinegar or * 2 drops of tea tree oil, lemon oil or geranium oil
*for dry skin: add 3 drops of Rose absolut, Roman Chamomile or Rosa Mosqueta oil
* for anti-aging: add 3 drops Frankincense, Rose or Helichrysum oil
METHOD: MIX AND MASH ALL INGREDIENTS WELL. APPLY A NICE EVEN LAYER ON DRY SKIN (FACE, NECK, DÈCOLETTAGE) WITH A BRUSH. LET SIT 15-20 MINUTES, THEN WIPE OFF WITH A WARM,DAMP TOWEL and RINSE OFF. ** Leftovers WILL KEEP IN A COVERED GLASS JAR IN THE FRIDGE FOR UP TO 3 DAYS. TRY IT TWICE A WEEK FOR GLOWING, DROP DEAD SKIN..AND NOT IN A CREEPY WAY! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
